Happy Christmas from all of us at the Hairdressing Council!
It’s been a busy year for us all at the council. The most significant project we have been involved in is the recent launch of the new National Hairdressing Apprenticeship. It has been great collaborating with the other members of the steering group to be able to achieve this for the entire industry.
Hairdressing is amazing to work in, and introducing young people into the industry is vital, as is making sure they have a safe, secure pathway to a recognised qualification. The National Apprenticeship helps to ensure this a strong future for our industry.
We will keep working on behalf of the totality of Irish hairdressers in 2020. In turn, I’d ask you to please keep engaging with us and help us to grow. Encourage any people involved in the industry to sign up (it’s free!) and please like and share social media posts to increase our reach.

Finally a huge thank you to all the committee members for all their hard work throughout the year, they generously give up their time for the benefit of the industry and without them, we could not do all we do.
Special thanks to Image Skillnet for all their help and support throughout the year.
