If you have made the difficult decision to close it’s important that you follow the correct procedure.
- Meet with your team and explain what is happening.
- Give them the information and any relevant documentation in writing to include COVID Social Welfare application form, a letter from the salon to social welfare explaining the layoff.
- Help the team fill these forms out as this is a frightening time for people and some may not be familiar with filling them.
- Explain if people have a public service card they may be able to fill in online which may be quicker.
